*Our Family* Hello everyone. This blog is about my family. My name is Kat, I'm 23, and I have a wonderful husband I married April 28, 2006, and now we have a precious little girl born December 27, 2006. My husband is a graduate from ITT Tech, and I went to college for 2 years while I could afford it. I'd go back to college if we could afford it and had the time, but not being able to go full-time makes financial aid hard to get. We met by a moment's chance, and fell in love at first sight. We've been together over 3 years now. We both work. He works full-time, I work part-time now and take care of our child and 1-bedroom apartment. We live a simple life in a small town, and as a lot of people, are smothered with debt.
*Our Debt* It was hard enough when I worked more to get the bills paid, but now, it's impossible to get every bill paid at the end of the month. Between 2 student loan payments, 2 car payments (One which we don't even have the car. It was co-signed for someone who was trusted, and it back-fired, now we're paying), rent, (we would love to be able to get a small fixer-upper house someday, but getting out from under the majority of the debt we're in needs to happen), and of course, basic utilities and food, and now diapers (I'm giving cloth diapers a chance to save a little money on those) and formula (I breastfeed the majority of the time though, it saves money!) it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We only have one credit card, one that was taken out for food purposes and emergencies, with a $200 limit ( I don't like credit cards, and don't want us in debt more).
*My Request* It's an idea I took from a friend, and the reason I say "my" is that my husband doesn't know I'm doing this. I want to surprise him, as unfortunately, most of the debt was his before we met. I want to take some weight off his shoulders. He takes great care of his family, but gets discouraged easily when thinking about money. I don't even know if it will work or not, but it's worth a shot. All I ask is a $1.00 donation from anyone who wishes to help us out. I'm using PayPal for donations. A dollar adds up!
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Have a great day!
